Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in driving the company’s commercial strategy, managing client relationships, and ensuring the financial success of our utility connection projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement commercial strategies to drive business growth and profitability
  • Manage the tendering and estimation process for utility connection projects
  • Oversee contract negotiations and ensure favourable terms for the company
  • Analyse market trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities
  • Collaborate with project managers to ensure project delivery aligns with commercial objectives
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders
  • Manage the commercial aspects of projects, including budgeting, cost control, and revenue forecasting
  • Provide regular reports on commercial performance to senior management

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a commercial role within the utilities or construction sector
  • Strong understanding of utility connections, including electricity, gas, and water
  • Proven track record in successful contract negotiations and tender management
  • Excellent analytical and financial management skills
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
