Role Overview

The Senior Utility Consultant will play a crucial role in delivering comprehensive utility solutions to our clients, ranging from initial feasibility studies to final connections and metering. This position requires a deep understanding of the utilities sector and the ability to manage complex projects across multiple disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage utility connection projects, focusing on electricity, gas, and water services
  • Provide expert consultancy to clients on utility infrastructure requirements and solutions
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, regulatory bodies, and utility companies
  • Oversee project teams, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards and regulations
  • Conduct technical due diligence and feasibility studies for utility connections
  • Contribute to business development activities and proposal writing
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and technological advancements in the utility sector

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably in Electrical, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in the utilities sector, with a focus on connections and infrastructure projects
  • In-depth knowledge of UK utility regulations and standards
  • Strong project management skills with a track record of successful project delivery
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in relevant software tools and CAD applications
