New Electricity Connection - NERS Accredited

National Electricity Registration Scheme

The National Electricity Registration Scheme (NERS) has been developed to allow ICPs (commonly known as independent connections providers) to carry out contestable connection work. A NERS ICP carries out work such as design, new connections to the network, civils works on and around properties to be connected, and installing electrical switches and transformers.

Gas Industry Registration Scheme

Utility providers qualified with the Gas Industry Registration Scheme are able to undertake a wide range of competitive gas connection works on behalf of Gas Network Operators. Qualified providers have been critically assessed to ensure excellence and safety in aspects of policies and practices related to gas.

Water Industry Registration Scheme

The Water Industry Registration Scheme is assessed on behalf of Water Utility companies, and this accreditation allows self-lay providers to work directly on the water network providing competition for water connection works. The assessment covers quality and safety aspects of policies and practices related to water connections.

CHAS Accredited Contractor

The Contractor’s Health and Safety Assessment Scheme is a thorough assessment of health and safety policies and practices within an organisation, covering all of the general works and practices. CHAS is a member of the SSIP (Safety Schemes In Procurement) group of accrediting bodies.

Construction Line Gold Member

The Constructionline assessment covers similar fields to CHAS, with some subtle differences, and qualification represents an assurance of safe working practises and a commitment to health and safety.
