AIS UTILITIES is a growing force in the power distribution sector, known for our commitment to safety, quality, and professionalism. As we expand, we’re seeking experienced LV-HV jointers to enhance our operational team.

Role

As a Jointer with AIS UTILITIES, you will play an integral role in the installation and jointing of power cables, essential to the construction and repair of electrical power distribution systems, ranging from Low Voltage up to 33kV. It’s not just about the technical skills; we’re searching for individuals who will uphold our reputation, always representing AIS UTILITIES in a professional and positive light.

Key Responsibilities

  • Extensive experience in DNO or IDNO tasks, particularly new connections, link box installations/replacements, and switchgear installations

  • Ensuring strict adherence to AIS Utilities’ DSRs, jointing manuals, and safe working practices

Requirements

  • Suitable DNO or IDNO trade tested certification in Power Cable Jointing and Terminations from a recognised training school and/or,

  • +5 years relevant experience

  • Operational knowledge of electrical power systems.
  • SMSTS or SSSTS certification

  • Qualification in Emergency First Aid

  • A full UK Driving Licence

Compensation and Benefits

  • HV Jointers: £40,000 – £55,000 p.a.
    LV Jointers: £35,000 – £45,000 p.a.
    Jointer’s Mates: £25,000 – £35,000 p.a.
    (all based on experience)
