Role

The Trainee Tendering Engineer, with the support of a tendering manager, will be responsible for an allocation of gas and LV tenders in line with company SLAs.

Key Tasks

  • Ensure their ICP tender activities are delivered on time whilst maintaining high levels of quality and safety.
  • Ensure full compliance with the Quality, Environmental, Safety and Health framework, systems and processes.
  • Ensure all relevant technical and site information for the proposed tender is known and understood.
  • Ensure relevant fiscal and commercial sign-off prior to estimation submission.
  • Nurture a close working relationship with the Sales Team.

  • Ensure handover is undertaken competently on projects with the design team.

  • Ensuring the customer interface is managed appropriately.
  • Ensure their appropriate desk top designs, plans, estimations and quotations for ICP connections are undertaken on time.

  • Ensure lessons learnt are regularly undertaken to improve tender estimations.

  • Good written communication and interpersonal skills

  • Full Driving Licence

Desirable

  • Ability to read and understand plans and construction drawings

Qualifications

  • NA – attitude and desire to learn

Training

  • Electrical tendering up to 11kV
  • Auto-CAD training
  • Dealing with clients and customer interface
